About Me

Hi, I'm Jacob Colburn, a passionate developer with experience in Python, Java, MySQL, and web development. At heart, I’m a problem solver who thrives on creativity and innovation. Growing up in Alabama, surrounded by nothing but woods, I learned to think outside the box and find solutions with whatever was at hand—whether it was a problem with a tool or crafting something new. That resourcefulness shaped how I approach challenges today. I’ve always been drawn to puzzles and strategy, which probably explains why games like The Legend of Zelda, Halo Wars, and Civilization have always fascinated me. Much like navigating dungeons, leading armies, or building empires, coding is about strategy and finding the smartest path forward. Every project—whether it’s developing a web scraper, creating a game, or optimizing an algorithm—feels like solving the ultimate puzzle. Technology excites me, and I love diving into new tools recommended. Outside of programming, I have a strong interest in trading stocks, exploring cryptocurrency, and even collecting crypto trading cards. It’s a world where strategy and timing meet innovation, which resonates with my problem-solving mindset. As a fresh graduate, I’m eager to apply my skills and ingenuity to create impactful solutions while continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
